A 22-year-old Pipe Creek man died in a head-on collision Wednesday on Texas 46 West near the border between Kendall and Bandera counties, the highway patrol said.
Levi Timothy James was pronounced dead following the Nov. 4 collision, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Dila Hidalgo.
James was eastbound on 46 driving a Mazda Miata when it crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander sport utility vehicle, Hidalgo said.
The driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital, according to the DPS report, which did not specify the motorist’s condition or injuries.
An investigation into the mishap is continuing, Hidalgo said.
